In this blog I am really happy to put some of the best 'Dohas' दोहे (couplets) / Quotes from Sant Kabir संत कबीर & Swami Vivekanand स्वामी विवेकानन्द !!
I am adding some quotes by one of my Idols: SWAMI VIVEKANAND
1. The soul is not free! It is a phenomenon bound by cause and effect; But there is something behind the soul which is free!
2. You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul.
3. Where can we go go find God if we cannot see Him in our own hearts and in every living being.
4. You cannot believe in God until you believe in yourself.
5. The first sign of your becoming religious is that you are becoming cheerful
6. The world is a great gymnasium where we come to make ourselves strong.
7. In one word, this ideal is that you are divine.
8. All the powers in the universe are already ours. It is we who have to put our hands
before our eyes and cry that it is dark.
9. To devote your life to the good of all and to the happiness of all, is religion.
Whatever you do for your own sake is not religion.
10. Truth can be stated in a thousand different ways, yet each one can be true.

Kaankar Paathar Jod Ke, Murat diyo banay,
Ta se Ram khush hoy to main duun pahad banay!
कांकड़ पाथर जोड़ के मूरत लियो बनाय
ता से राम खुश होय तो मैं दूँ पहाड़ बनाय !!

पत्थर पूजे हरी मिले , तो मैं पुजूँ गिरिराय;
सबसे तो चक्की भली, पीस पीस के खाय !
--- If I find Hari (God) by worshiping idol, I will worship mountain;
Better is a stone grinder, which grinds grain for feeding!
Kubudhi ko Sujhe Nahi, Uth Uth Deval Jaaye,
Dil dehra ki khabar nahi, Pathar Kahan Te Pay!
कुबुद्धि को सूझे नहीं उठ उठ देवल जाय ;
दिल देहरा की खबर नहीं , पत्थर कहाँ से पाय !
--- Ignorants don't understand, keep visiting temple,
Didn't seek in the heart, that which he can't find in stone!
Makke Madine mein gaya, wahan bhi hari ka naam,
Main tujhse poochon he sakhi, Kin dekha kis tham.
मक्के मदीने में गया, वहां भी हरी का नाम;
मैं तुझसे पूछूं हे सखी, किन देखा किस धाम!
--- You did pilgrimage to Mecca, Medina, there too is Hari's (God's) name;
Then I ask you, O friend, where did you see God!
Bura Jo Dekhan Main Chala, Bura Naa Milya Koye
Jo Man Khoja Apnaa, To Mujhse Bura Naa Koye
बुरा जो देखन मैं चला बुरा ना मिल्या कोय,
जो दिल खोजा आपना, मुझसे बुरा ना कोय!!
--- Went searching for bad people, didn't find any,
Having searched my heart, none worse than me!!
Dukh Mein Simran Sab Kare, Sukh Mein Kare Na Koye
Jo Sukh Mein Simran Kare, Tau Dukh Kahe Ko Hoye
दुःख में सुमिरन सब करें सुख में करे न कोय,
जो सुख में सुमिरन करे तो दुःख काहे को होय !!
